Siliguri, 05th February: Shilalu Roy, the accused of a minor’s rape case, was apprehended in Matigara Siliguri while another rape-accused identified as Dhiren Barman remains absconding. The police have taken Roy on 7 days remand.
It is to be recalled, a 13-year-old minor from Siliguri’s Matigara was allegedly raped multiple times by two men for many days. The two rape-accused are also the residents of Matigara. The matter came to light after the minor informed her family members about the entire incident, on Sunday. According to the minor, the two individuals used to threaten her and used to take her to different places and raped her multiple times.
