Gangtok, 25th August: A 4-year-old boy lost his life due to a landslide caused by the incessant rains in Sikkim. The incident took place at Lower Lungchok, located in the Maneybong-Dentam area of West Sikkim.
As per reports, on Friday morning, the house of a local resident named Nar Bahadur Chhetri was knocked down by a massive landslide in the said area killing his sleeping 4-year-old son. During the incident, the other inmates of the house were engaged in working in the tea garden adjacent to the house. The unanticipated landslide damaged the house and the child died buried under the debris.
