Siliguri, 01st December: A massive fire broke out at Jyotinagar Colony of Bagrakote I in Ward No. 20 of the Siliguri Municipal Corporation, destroying three houses completely.
According to local sources, the primary house was empty at the time as all family members were away for work. On Monday evening, locals noticed flames coming from the house. The fire rapidly spread to nearby houses, reducing three homes to ashes within moments. A fire engine reached the spot promptly, and firefighters managed to bring the blaze under control.
Ward Councillor Abhaya Bose visited the site after receiving the information. Fire officials and police have initiated an investigation to determine the cause of the incident.
