Rajganj, 13th September: Sensation prevailed following a shocking incident of mass theft in Parmunda More of Ambari-Gajoldoba road under Mantadari Gram Panchayat of Rajganj Block. In the incident, two grocery stores, two garages, a saloon, a drug store, and a tea stall were robbed by miscreants.
According to the shopkeepers, the stores were closed as usual, on Tuesday night, and they dispersed to their homes. The following morning, they were alerted about the theft. Subsequently, they rushed to their shops and found the locks broken and goods and cash collectively amounting to lakhs of rupees were missing from 7 shops.
In this regard, the shopkeepers stated that the incident left them at an immense loss before the upcoming Durga Puja and demanded increased police patrolling in the area. Upon receiving the news, Milanpally Outpost police arrived at the spot and initiated a detailed investigation into the entire incident.
