Naxalbari, 21st March: In a tragic incident, the deceased body of an individual was recovered from a sewer in the Merry View Tea Estate of Naxalbari. The deceased had been identified as Subal Oraon, a resident of the Kiran Chandra Tea Estate in Naxalbari.
According to reports, on Thursday evening, the local tea workers stumbled upon the body and immediately informed the Naxalbari police. The initial assumptions of the police indicate that the individual had passed away 2-3 days prior.
Subsequently, the body was recovered from the sewer and transported to the North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH) for a post-mortem examination. The Naxalbari police are further investigating into the entire incident.
