Rajganj, 08th September: Sensation prevailed in the area after the body of a person was recovered from the side of the National Highway in Rajganj. The deceased was identified as Bipin Roy (45) of Gathiagach area under Panikauri Gram Panchayat of Rajganj.
As per the report, on Tuesday evening, Bipin Roy left home on a bicycle to go to the nearby Panikauri market, however, he did not return home that night. The following morning, his body was found lying on the roadside near the toll plaza of Panikauri area along the Siliguri-Jalpaiguri National Highway. His bicycle was lying near the body.
Upon receiving the news, the Rajganj police reached the spot and took the dead body in possession and sent it to Jalpaiguri district hospital for post-mortem. Police have started an investigation of the whole matter. Meanwhile, the brother of the deceased Jiten Roy stated that his elder brother seems to have been murdered and the family would file a complaint at the police station in this regard.
