Phansidewa, 06th June: Tension gripped the Bhimbar area under Bidhannagar I Gram Panchayat in Phansidewa after a 54-year-old man was found hanging from a noose inside a warehouse.
The deceased has been identified as Shankar Pal. According to sources, the incident came to light when Pal’s daughter discovered his body hanging in a warehouse located a short distance from their residence. Her screams alerted nearby locals, who rushed to the spot and informed the police.
Officers from the Bidhannagar Investigation Center promptly arrived at the scene, recovered the body, and sent it to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH) for post-mortem.
Police have launched an investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the death.
