Siliguri, 03rd July: Sensation gripped the Dakshin Shantinagar area near Siliguri following the recovery of the hanging body of a decorator worker from a godown in the Boubazar area. The deceased has been identified as Chitta Karmakar, 48.
Reports indicate that the godown had been closed for three days. On Wednesday morning, the owner discovered the hanging body upon reopening the godown.
The police were immediately informed, and officers from the Ashighar Outpost arrived at the scene. They recovered the body and sent it to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH) for a post-mortem examination. The police have launched an investigation into the incident.
