Rajganj, 20th September: A miscreant has been accused of stealing an e-rickshaw (toto) after drugging the driver. The said driver, identified as Tariqul Islam (30), was rescued from Phansidewa on Sunday evening. He is a resident of Purba Dhantala of Fulbari 2 gram panchayat in Rajganj.
It has been learned that Tariqul Islam is the sole breadwinner of his family and runs an e-rickshaw (Toto) on rent. He stepped out of his house on Saturday morning to drop a passenger in Ghoshpukur. On the way, the man offered him tea, which he accepted to drink. However, he suddenly fell unconscious while driving his vehicle.
When he regained consciousness on Sunday evening, he was admitted to Phansidewa Gramin hospital. His toto was also missing. After receiving the news, his family members arrived and took him home. The Phansidewa police have started an investigation into the whole incident.
