Siliguri, 14th March: – A petty argument between two brothers took a violent turn in Ward no-4 under Siliguri Municipal Corporation, on Sunday. The incident created a stir in the entire area.
As per the information, Mohammad Siraj and his younger brother argued over a minor issue in Ward no-4 Gwala Patti area. During the course, Mohammad Riyaz got infuriated and attacked his elder brother with a knife, severely injuring him on the spot. The accused has been absconding since the incident.
The locals then rescued Siraj and rushed him to Siliguri District Hospital. Upon receiving the news, the Khalpara Outpost police reached the spot and started an investigation into the matter.
On the other hand, the locals alleged that the accused was drunk while the incident occurred. They demanded an investigation in this regard and punishment for the accused.
