Cooch Behar, 26th July: A land dispute took an ugly turn in East Shikarpur area of Dinhata Sahebganj when a man was shot dead in broad daylight. The deceased has been identified as Mominul Sarkar and the accused as Bappa Hussain.
According to local sources, the duo had been clashing over a land dispute for a long time. On Tuesday, the two got into an argument once again. As the tension escalated, Bappa Hussain open fire at Mominul Sarkar, killing him on the spot.
Upon receiving the news of the incident, the Sahebganj police reached the spot and deployed a huge force in the area. Police are probing the whole matter.
