Fulbari, 15th August: In a recent development, Gautam Das, a 37-year-old resident of Durgadas Colony in Siliguri, has gone missing under mysterious circumstances while on an outing with friends. The incident was reported to the New Jalpaiguri (NJP) police station after Das did not return home on Wednesday afternoon.
According to family sources, on Wednesday afternoon, Gautam Das went out with his six friends on an e-rickshaw.
Gautam’s wife Priyanka Das claimed the he had called her during the outing to report that two of his friends were assaulting him. Shortly after the call, his phone was switched off. Following this, his family filed a missing person’s report at the NJP police station.
On Thursday, police from NJP police station and family members began searching for Das, focusing their efforts around the Fulbari Teesta Canal area. The investigation is ongoing as authorities seek to uncover the circumstances surrounding his disappearance.
