Man missing for 3 days found dead in a drain in Siliguri

Siliguri, 19th September: Sensation prevailed after the body of a person was recovered from a drain in Sevoke Road, Siliguri. The deceased has been identified as Deepak Thapa and is said to be a resident of Baikunthapally area Bypass.


As per the report, the body was spotted after a man inspected a foul smell coming from the drain in front of his garage. The Bhaktinagar Police was immediately informed regarding the incident.

Meanwhile, the family of the deceased also reached the spot after receiving the news. The son-in-law of the deceased said that Deepak had been missing since September 16. Allegedly, he fell into a high-drain near Don Bosco More while he was returning from work. 


Reportedly, a missing report had been lodged in the Bhaktinagar Police Station on September 17. The body was recovered and has been sent to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital for post mortem.
