Alipurduar, 18th October: A tragic incident unfolded in the Madarihat area where an individual lost his life in an elephant attack. The victim, identified as Shyamdas Sharma, is a resident of the Meghnad Saha Nagar area under Madarihat.
As per reports, Shyamdas was on his way to work, during which, he was attacked by a wild elephant near the Gram Panchayat Office. Upon receiving the news, the police of Madarihat police station along with forest personnel of Jaldapara Forest Department arrived at the spot and recovered the body of the deceased.
