Fulbari, 31st October: A tragic incident unfolded from an area adjacent to Fulbari barrage on Fulbari Ghoshpukur Bypass road, where a man lost his life in a road accident while returning home with funeral items for the cremation rites of his deceased uncle-in-law. The deceased man has been identified as Subhash Roy (45), a resident of the Rabvita area of Phansidewa block.
According to reports, Subhash’s uncle-in-law had lost his life three days prior. On Monday, Subhash was headed to the deceased relative’s residence located in the Gathmabari area under Fulbari Gram Panchayat-II when he encountered a fatal road accident.
Upon receiving the information, the Fulbari Highway Traffic police along with New Jalpaiguri (NJP) police arrived at the spot, recovered the deceased body, and transported it to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). At present, the police are engaged in a detailed investigation of the entire incident.
