Jalpaiguri, 21st August: Sensation prevailed after a 30-year old man, identified as Banda Oroan, was bitten by a 4 foot long poisonous Cobra. The incident surfaced from the Chamtimukhi village under the Jalpaiguri district.
The incident occurred when Oraon was cleaning his house amid the Bengal’s bi-weekly lockdown. The snake suddenly jumped on him and bit his right hand while he was trying to clear out some twigs beside his house.
Upon hearing his screams, the locals reached the spot and immediately rushed him to the hospital. The snake was then captured and kept inside a cage by the locals.
