Siliguri, 05th May: A man was found hanging from a noose inside his residence in Samar Nagar Bau Bazar area under Dabgram I Gram Panchayat in Siliguri. The deceased has been identified as Bidhan Pal (45), who worked at a medicine shop.
According to reports, police recovered the body and sent it to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH) for postmortem. Locals informed that Bidhan Pal had been mentally disturbed for some time.
Preliminary investigations suggest that the man may have taken the extreme step due to mental stress. Police have launched a probe to ascertain the exact cause of death.
