Rajganj, 03rd September: A man drowned while taking a bath in a pond, on Friday. The incident surfaced from the Hatkhola Line area of Shikarpur Gram Panchayat in Rajganj block. The deceased has been identified as Lalu Leher (40), a resident of the Hatkhola Line area in Shikarpur Gram Panchayat.
According to local sources, the deceased came to bathe in the pond around 11.30 am today. Shortly afterwards, he drowned and the incident was immediately reported to the Belakoba outpost police. Later, the body was recovered with the help of the Jalpaiguri Civil Defense Rescue Team. The police sent the body for an autopsy.
