Panighatta, 17th December: A man died this morning after jumping off the Panighatta-Dudhia bridge. The deceased has been identified as Bal Kumar Sangbo, a resident of Dudhia.
Upon receiving the news of the incident, Panighatta police reached the spot, rescued the body and sent it to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital for postmortem. The deceased Bal Kumar was mentally ill as per police sources.
