Siliguri, 08th February: A tragic incident surfaced where a passenger lost his life after falling while attempting to board the Vande Bharat Express train at the New Jalpaiguri (NJP) railway station. The deceased individual has been identified as Ujjwal Bhowmik, a resident of Khudiram Pally in Bagdogra.
According to reports, on Thursday afternoon, the individual was attempting to get on the said train to travel to Kolkata. However, the individual accidentally fell on the platform and died on the spot.
Upon receiving the information about the incident, the GRP and RPF arrived at the spot, recovered the body, and sent it for a post-mortem examination. Meanwhile, the deceased’s friends and family also arrived at the scene upon being informed about the incident.
