Siliguri, 13th February: A 40-year old man dies after being hit by a bull in Siliguri’s Baghajatin park area. The deceased has been identified as Sajal Sarkar, a resident of Ward no-14 Udam Singh Sarani under Siliguri Municipal Corporation.
As per the report, on February 07, Sarkar was traveling in his friend’s scooty, during which a bull hit their vehicle near Baghajatin Park area. Both of them fell on the road. Sarkar sustained severe head injuries.
The locals rescued the duo and rushed them to Siliguri District Hospital. Sarkar’s friend was released after going through initial treatment. However, Sarkar’s physical condition deteriorated, and was referred elsewhere. Unfortunately, he breathed his last on Thursday while undergoing treatment.
After this incident, the deceased’s family urged the administration to bring stray animals under control.
