Phansidewa, 08th July: One person died after being hit by a train in Chakchaki area under Phansidewa Block this morning. The deceased has been identified as Janjal Singh (50).
Reportedly, the said person left his house this morning. Later, his body was recovered from the railway line in Chakchaki area at around 9 am.
Upon receiving the news, the Railway Police and cops of Phanidewa police station reached the spot and sent the recovered body to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital for postmortem.
According to sources, Janjal Singh was suffering from an illness for some time. He has two daughters and a wife. The police have started investigating the whole matter.
