Fulbari, 15th November: The new development in the murder case of a woman in Fulbari shocked all when it took an unexpected turn. 28-year-old Riya Biswas was found dead with her throat slit in Chaturagach Khatal Basti under Fulbari No. 2 Gram Panchayat of Rajganj. The locals found her blood-soaked body inside the toilet of her house after they heard the cries of her 5-year-old child this morning. Reportedly, her husband Ameo Biswas and her brother-in-law had gone to Nadia to bring their mother home.
While the incident created a stir in the area, a live video on social media shocked everyone to the core. The deceased woman Riya’s neighbour, identified as Kiran Devnath, confessed to murdering Riya on Facebook Live before committing suicide by jumping on the railway track. His body was later recovered from the railway line near the Mahananda bridge in Kamrangaguri area.
As per the reports, the murderer Kiran and his victim Riya were having an affair. Apparently, Riya had eloped with Kiran a few days ago but later returned home. A meeting was also called in the village on this matter. Following this, a dispute broke out between the two families. According to the information, Kiran went to Riya’s house last night and killed her by slitting her throat. Later, confessing to the crime, he committed suicide. The horrifying incident has created a stir in the whole area.
