Siliguri, 15th January: The officials of the Women’s police station apprehended an individual, identified as Sujit Sutradhar, on charges of sexually assaulting a woman in Siliguri.
According to reports, the victim filed a complaint at the police station in November against her lover accusing him of luring her into his trap and impregnating her. Subsequently, the police investigated the incident and discovered that the accused had allegedly fled Siliguri. As a result, the officials issued an operation searching for the accused. During this, the accused’s location indicated his presence in Delhi.
The officials promptly departed for Delhi and apprehended the accused, took him on transit remand, and arrived in Siliguri. On Tuesday, the accused will be produced before the Siliguri Court. The entire incident is currently under further investigation.
