Siliguri, 17th August: A person has been severely injured after a dispute broke out between two neighbours over the boundary wall of a piece of land. The incident surfaced from the Kanchanbari area of Fulbari No. 2 region. Police arrested one person while investigating the incident. The arrested accused has been identified as Upen Roy.
On Tuesday, Sahadev Roy, a resident of the Kanchanbari area, was attacked by several locals when he was working on the boundary wall of his house. Allegedly, a neighbour hit him with an axe, and another person was injured while trying to save him. Roy was rescued and rushed to Siliguri District Hospital.
After the incident, a written complaint has been lodged against the five accused at the NJP police station. The NJP police launched investigations and arrested one. He was produced at the Jalpaiguri court today.
