Naxalbari, 10th August: In a recent development, an individual identified as Tapas Pal, a resident of Rathkhola, was arrested in Naxalbari for drug possession.
As per reports, acting on a tip-off about drug smuggling in the Rathkhola area, the 41st battalion of the Madan Jote SSB conducted a raid and apprehended Pal with 94 grams of brown sugar.
Following the arrest, Pal was handed over to the Naxalbari police and subsequently taken to the Siliguri Sub-Divisional Court. The Naxalbari police station is investigating the case.
