Kharibari, 19th August: A man has been arrested with 21 bottles of banned cough syrup in Kharibari. The accused has been identified as Lachman Pradhan, a resident of Chhoto Badrajote in Batasi.
According to reports, police acted on a tip-off and conducted a raid at Lachman Pradhan’s residence in the Chhoto Badrajote area late on Sunday night. During the search, they recovered 21 bottles of the prohibited cough syrup. Following this, Lachman was taken into custody.
The accused was presented in Siliguri court on Monday. The Panitanki police are engaged in further investigation into the case.
