Siliguri, 10th August: The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in Siliguri has arrested an individual in possession of heroin valued at several crores of rupees. The arrested accused has been identified as Jeetu Barman.
Reportedly, acting on a tip-off, NCB officials conducted a raid near Batasi railway station, leading to the arrest and seizure of 417 grams of heroin.
The arrested individual was produced before the Siliguri Sub-Divisional Court on Saturday, where the court ordered two days of jail custody. He is scheduled to appear in the NDPS court on Monday. The Narcotics Control Bureau is currently investigating the case.
