Alipurduar, 26th November: A man has been accused of murdering his wife in an intoxicated state. The incident surfaced from the Thumapara area of Shivnathpur under Falakata police station in Alipurduar. The deceased has been identified as Rajkumari Oraon.
Allegedly, a quarrel broke out between the couple on Thursday night. As the tension escalated, the drunk husband attacked his wife with a wooden bat, killing her on the spot.
Police have already arrested husband Shukra Oraon on charges of murder. Police have started an investigation into the whole incident.
