Siliguri, 23rd November: A man has been arrested by the NJP police on charges of oil theft from the IOC road. The arrested individual has been identified as Suman Roy.
Reports indicated that an oil theft ring has been active in the NJP area for many years. Miscreants stole oil through various methods and sold it in the market. On Friday, Suman Roy was caught red-handed by the NJP police while stealing oil.
The arrested individual was presented in the Jalpaiguri court on Saturday. The police have launched an investigation into the incident.
