Kharibari, 01st October: A man has been arrested for allegedly raping a minor girl in the Thanjhora area of Kharibari, following a complaint lodged by his wife. The arrested accused has been identified as Sunil Oraon.
According to reports, Sunil Oraon brought the minor to his home from Himachal Pradesh on September 24. It is alleged that the incident occurred after her arrival. Subsequently, his wife filed a complaint against him at the Kharibari police station.
Kharibari police arrested Sunil Oraon on Monday following the complaint. He was presented at the Siliguri Sub-Divisional Court on Tuesday. Currently, the police are investigating the incident.
