Siliguri, 03rd August: A distressing incident surfaced where a man has been accused of assaulting a food delivery boy in Siliguri.
According to reports, on Saturday, Mritunjay Pal, a food delivery boy, went to deliver an order to a customer in the area adjacent to Kanchenjunga Athletic Club in Ward No. 02 of Siliguri. After calling the customer and receiving no response, Pal waited for some time, which led to an argument between the two.
Allegedly, the customer began verbally abusing Pal. When Pal objected, the customer brought another individual, and together they physically attacked Pal, leaving him injured. He was subsequently rescued and taken to Siliguri District Hospital for treatment.
Following the incident, a complaint was lodged at Pradhan Nagar police station. Acting on the complaint, the police apprehended the accused.
