Siliguri, 13th April: Trinamool Congress supremo Mamata Banerjee is set to visit Siliguri on Wednesday. She will hold a ‘padyatra’ in support of Siliguri TMC candidate Gautam Deb. The ‘padyatra’ will begin from Mallaguri. It will pass through Hill Cart Road and end at Hashmi Chowk.
Earlier too, she has conducted padyatras in Siliguri several times. For Wednesday’s programme, district TMC has already started preparations. Thousands of party workers from different wards of Siliguri are expected to participate.
According to TMC sources, the procession will also showcase Bengal’s culture. Mamata Banerjee has been holding both public meetings and padyatras in support of candidates across different constituencies in the state.
Recently, TMC All India General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee had addressed a public meeting in support of party candidates in Siliguri. Mamata Banerjee had also held a public meeting earlier in the Dabgram-Fulbari Assembly Constituency area.
