Siliguri, 29th August: After landing at Bagdogra airport this morning, Kailash Vijayavargiya, the national general secretary of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and party’s Central Observer for West Bengal, criticized the role of State Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.
Addressing the media, Vijayavargiya stated that Mamata Banerjee should focus on state politics instead of central politics. He expressed outrage over her ‘Karenge ya Marenge’ statement and stated that this way, Bengal has been heading towards the path of violence.
He further alleged that while the people of Bengal believe in democracy, the CM believes in violence. He claimed, “If we come to power, political violence will end.”
He also complained that Bengali is lagging behind in the field of education. When asked about NEET and Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) exams, he stated that while 90% of the students agreed to take the examinations, Banerjee has been disapproving of it. He accused her of ruining the future of the students in the same way she has destroyed Bengal.
Vijayavargiya maintained that our CM should not bother about all these issues and focus on her regional organization and politics.
