Malda, 26th February: A woman committed suicide in the Gazole Chinnadana village of Malda. The deceased has been identified as Ratna Pathak (28). Her husband Dinesh repairs gas ovens for a living.
According to sources, Dinesh was on his way to drop his two children to school, this morning. On his way, he stumbled on a bucket in front of his house and fell. Dinesh scolded his wife for being careless, due to which, Ratna drank an insecticide. She was immediately rushed to the Pandua Rural Hospital. It has been alleged that there was no doctor in the hospital, so, she was rushed to the Malda Medical College-Hospital, where the doctors declared her dead. The police recovered the body and sent it for an autopsy.
