Siliguri, 09th June: A fire broke out at a battery manufacturing factory in the industrial area behind the mini-state secretariat for North Bengal, Uttar Kanya, on late Tuesday night. The incident created a stir in the entire area.
As per the report, the locals heard a loud noise around 2 am and rushed to the spot. After sighting the factory on fire, they immediately informed the fire brigade. Upon receiving the news, four fire engines and the NJP police reached the spot and extinguished the fire.
Several damages have been reported in the factory. However, the cause of the fire has not yet been determined. The fire brigade and police assumed that the fire broke out due to a short circuit.
