Islampur, 4th January: On Saturday morning, maize seeds were distributed among the farmers at the Panditpota 2 Gram Panchayat office under Islampur block.
As per the reports, the practice of wheat cultivation in the border areas has been stopped for several years. Due to this, the farmers were given maize seeds to make them financially stable.
The Panchayat Pradhan Razi Begum stated that about 100 packets of maize seeds were handed over to the farmers. Some medicines have also been given to filter the seeds.
