Jalpaiguri, 20th February: A wave of mourning has swept through the Ramsai area of Maynaguri block in Jalpaiguri district following the tragic death of a Madhyamik student, Abhijit Roy. A student of Chengmari Harendra Nath High School, Abhijit had been appearing for his board examinations when he fell ill.
According to family sources, Abhijit, son of Sadaru Roy, had his examination center at Amguri Rammohan High School. He successfully completed his first two exams but later developed severe stomach pain. He was initially admitted to Maynaguri Rural Hospital, where he even took one of his exams. However, as his condition worsened, he was shifted to Jalpaiguri Medical College.
With no improvement, the family later moved him to a private hospital in Jalpaiguri, where he tragically passed away. His untimely demise has cast a pall of grief over the entire area, leaving school authorities and locals deeply saddened.
