Jalpaiguri, 10th March: Sensation prevailed after the body of a Madhyamik examinee was found hanging from a noose in the Jalpaiguri Vivekananda pally area. The deceased has been identified as Monika Kirtaniya (16) of Dharmudev High School in Vivekananda Pally.
According to the family members, Monika’s body was found hanging from a noose inside the house this morning. The body was then recovered by Kotwali Police and sent to Jalpaiguri Super Specialty Hospital for autopsy.
Monika’s close ones are in a daze over the cause of death. The incident has cast a shadow of mourning over the area. Police are investigating the incident.
