Siliguri, 11th July: Six cricket enthusiasts organized the first edition of the city’s biggest indoor turf cricket tournament “Mad Over Cricket – Turf Cricket League Season 1” on the 8th and 9th of July 2023. Notably, a tournament of this category was never organized in Siliguri.
Reportedly, the six organizers namely Karan Raj Prasad, Mayank Poddar, Anubhav Agarwal, Hitesh Jain, Aditya Kejriwal, and Mridul Agarwal creatively came forward with an extravagant format of cricket to promote and provide an opportunity for all cricket lovers of the city. In the tournament, 12 teams from the men’s category and 4 teams from the women’s category could be seen competing for the trophy. In the finals, FLC Squad from the men’s category and Bomb Squad team from the women’s category emerged victorious.
