Siliguri, 29th December: In a significant breakthrough, Siliguri Police Station arrested LPG gas cylinder thieves within 12 hours of the complaint. The arrested accused have been identified as Raj Guha and Deepak Roy. Raj is stated to be a resident of Rathkhola, while Deepak is from Subhash Pally in Siliguri.
According to reports, on December 27 night, two gas cylinders were stolen from a residence during a ‘Shraddha’ ceremony in the Rathkhola area of Ward No. 22 of the Siliguri Municipal Corporation (SMC).
The following day, the family filed a written complaint at the Siliguri Police Station. Based on the complaint, police launched an investigation and arrested Raj and Deepak from the Durga Das Colony area on Thursday night.
Subsequently, the police also recovered the stolen gas cylinders after a detailed interrogation of the two accused. On Friday, both the accused have been produced before the Siliguri court.
