Siliguri, 02nd September: A case of alleged deception leading to the arrest of a lover has emerged in Siliguri. In 2022, Pritam Sarkar, an employee of NBSTC, reportedly met a female doctor, which eventually turned into a romantic relationship. However, serious accusations have arisen in connection with their relationship.
It is alleged that Pritam Sarkar, in his pursuit of love, promised marriage to his girlfriend and subsequently engaged in a physical relationship with her on multiple occasions. Subsequently, he backed out on his promise to marry her. Feeling betrayed, the girlfriend lodged a written complaint with the Women’s Police Station, accusing Pritam of rape under the pretext of marriage.
Based on the complaint, the Women’s police station arrested Pritam from the area under Bhaktinagar police station late last night. Today, the accused was presented in the Siliguri court.
