Naxalbari, 11th August: The police intercepted a truck carrying buffaloes and seized 12 buffaloes during the operation. Two individuals, identified as Kishan and Nandaji Yadav, both residents of Haryana, have been arrested in connection with the incident.
According to reports, the truck was stopped at the Satbhaiya More area in Naxalbari during a routine inspection. Upon searching, the authorities found 12 buffaloes loaded in the truck. Police sources revealed that the buffaloes were being transported from Bihar to Assam. Subsequently, the accused were arrested for failing to produce valid documents for the transportation.
On Sunday, the accused were presented in Siliguri Sub-Divisional Court. Naxalbari police are conducting a thorough investigation into the entire incident.
