Chopra, 03rd March: A person was injured in a lorry-pickup van collision in Chopra.
As per the reports, a pickup van was heading towards Raiganj from Bidhan Nagar around 6 am, when a 10-wheeler lorry lost control at the bridge near the Chopra bus stand area and rammed into the van from behind. Following this, the bridge railing collapsed and the pickup van fell off the bridge. The van driver was injured in the incident.
Locals rescued the injured and rushed him to Chopra’s Dalua Block Primary Health Center, from where he was referred to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital. The Police recovered the vehicle and are investigating the whole incident.
