Phansidewa, 25th April: A lorry carrying steel bundles overturned in front of the Bidhannagar Investigation Centre in Phansidewa on Thursday, injuring the driver and co-driver.
According to reports, the incident occurred on National Highway 31, where repair work has been ongoing for several days. The lorry, reportedly unable to detect the barricades due to unclear visibility or signage, rammed into a divider and lost control, resulting in the vehicle overturning.
The impact caused the steel bundles to spill across the road, disrupting traffic. Both the driver and co-driver were trapped inside the cabin and were later rescued by locals and police. They were rushed to the Bidhannagar Primary Health Center for treatment.
The Bidhannagar Investigation Centre police have begun probing the circumstances leading to the mishap.
