Kharibari, 27th December: Amid a series of road accidents on national highways, another incident was reported late at night when a lorry carrying lentils met with an accident near the Durga Mandir on National Highway 327 in Kharibari.
According to sources, the lorry was travelling from Rajasthan to Guwahati when it got stuck in a roadside pit while trying to give way to an oncoming vehicle. The driver lost control, causing the lorry to overturn on the roadside.
Upon receiving information, personnel from the Kharibari Traffic Guard rushed to the spot. No casualties were reported in the incident. Police have initiated an investigation into the matter.
