Bidhannagar, 13th September: In a recent incident, three people were injured in a collision between a lorry and an e-rickshaw late Thursday night on National Highway 31 in Bidhannagar, Phansidewa.
According to reports, the e-rickshaw, while crossing the highway with passengers, was overturned by a speeding lorry. The driver of the e-rickshaw and two passengers sustained injuries.
Locals, alerted by the loud noise of the crash, rushed to the scene and rescued the injured. They were then transported to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH) for treatment. The driver of the lorry fled the scene.
Traffic on the national highway came to a halt following the accident. Police from the Bidhannagar Investigation Center arrived shortly after and brought the situation under control. The lorry has been seized, and an investigation into the incident is underway.
