Siliguri, 30th October: After Durga Puja, huge crowds are spotted at the Siliguri District Hospital for COVID-19 tests. RT-PCR and rapid antigen tests are being done in cases of mild cold, cough, or early symptoms of COVID.
Meanwhile, the number of patients in the fever clinic of Siliguri District Hospital has already increased. Patients with co-morbidity are initially being sent for the RT-PCR test.
Dr. Amitabh Mandal, superintendent of Siliguri district hospital, said that around 100 samples are being collected every day. However, most cases are due to the change in weather. Around 80 patients are getting admitted to the fever clinic every day.
OSD Dr. Susanta Roy has recently informed that the number of sample tests will be increased in the districts.
