Long queues seen for gas booking in Naxalbari amid link issue

Naxalbari, 12th March: Huge crowds were seen in Naxalbari on Thursday as residents gathered to book LPG cylinders. Long queues formed outside a cooking gas supply office from early morning, leading to severe inconvenience for consumers.

According to sources, tension grew at the spot after the office failed to open at its scheduled time of 9:30 am. As the hours passed, the queue reportedly stretched nearly 500 metres, with a large number of people waiting to complete their bookings.

Consumers alleged that the problem worsened due to a link issue in the system, preventing timely processing of gas bookings. The disruption led to frustration among people standing in the long queue.

Many residents expressed concern, stating that they had no cooking gas left at home and were unsure how they would manage meals if they failed to get a cylinder.
