Siliguri, 17th February: In the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, a Distribution/Dispersion Center and Receipt Center (DCRC) and a strong room are likely to be set up in Siliguri College. Notably, the dates for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections will be announced soon.
Reportedly, on Saturday, Darjeeling District Magistrate (DM) Preeti Goyal, Siliguri Police Commissioner C Sudhakar, and other administrative officials visited and inspected the college.
Significantly, the counting of votes for the plain areas of Darjeeling Lok Sabha may be held in Siliguri College. Additionally, a DCRC center is also likely from where the polling personnel would leave for the polling booths with EVMs.
